The National Human Genome Research Institute intends to issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications that stimulate innovation and advance understanding of when, where and how best to implement the use and sharing of genomic information and technologies in clinical care in all persons including populations or communities that experience health disparities, such as racial or ethnic minority groups, people with lower socioeconomic (SES) status, underserved rural communities, and sexual and gender minority groups. The intended NOFO will be based on aconcept recently approved by the National Advisory Council on Human Genome Research and accompanyingdiscussion. This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. The NOFO is expected to be published in the spring of 2023 with an expected application due date in the fall of 2023. This NOFO will utilize the the R01 activity code. Details of the planned NOFO are provided below.
