The National Human Genome Research Institute intends to issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications to support educational activities that encourage individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from groups underrepresented in the biomedical and behavioral sciences (see Notice of NIH's Interest in Diversity, NOT-OD-20-031) , to pursue further studies or careers in computational genomics and data science research. The intended NOFO will be based on aconceptrecently approved by the National Advisory Council on Human Genome Research and accompanyingdiscussion. This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop responsive projects. The NOFO is expected to be published in the summer of 2023 with an expected application due date in the fall of 2023. This NOFO will utilize the UE5 activity code. Details of the planned NOFO are provided below.
