A Glimmer of Hope Austin focuses its efforts on the impact of poverty in Austin and Travis County.Target populations include:(1) Youth & Young Adults, which includes Foster Children;(2) Women i.e. Single Mothers & Children who lack basic needs;(3) Populations suffering from Hunger & Chronic Homelessness.Applications are invited from organizations that:Care for those who suffer from poverty, specifically those who are homeless, facing hunger and food insecurity, and are in need of foster careHelp break the cycle of poverty through education, mentorship, job training and income creationThe foundation only considers projects that will continue to benefit the community after the foundation’s initial investment. Funded organizations are encouraged to seek additional funds from other sources in order continue to provide services.Grant CyclesFor Early Stage / Seed Grants, Glimmer | Austin accepts project proposals all year round and they will be reviewed at the time of submission. Decisions will be determined within six-to-eight weeks.EligibilityGrants are made only to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations.Funds are disbursed on a bi-annual basis with continuing funding contingent upon availability of funds and the recipient’s ability to successfully meet the objectives outlined in their original proposal. 4/16/2022
