Grants will be awarded to eligible providers on a competitive basis. The term “eligible provider” means an organization that has demonstrated effectiveness in providing adult education and literacy activities. See WIOA Title II §203(5).
The purpose of the grant is to provide academic instruction and education services below the postsecondary level. Services include Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, English as a Second Language and Corrections Education.
