Camp Foundation is an independent foundation. The foundation's purpose is to provide or aid in providing, in or near the town of Franklin, VA, parks, playgrounds, recreational facilities, libraries, hospitals, clinics, homes for the aged or needy, refuge for delinquent, dependent or neglected children, training schools, or other like institutions or activities. Funds are also granted to select organizations statewide, with emphasis on youth agencies, safety programs, hospitals, mental illness, and nursing programs, higher and secondary education, including scholarships filed through high school principals, recreation, the environment, historic preservation, and cultural programs.The foundation provides the following types of support: annual campaigns; building/renovation; emergency funds; equipment; land acquisition; matching/challenge support; research; scholarship funds; scholarships--to individuals; and seed money.Giving is focused in the city of Franklin, and Southampton and Isle of Wight counties, Virginia.Interested applicants should submit 7 copies of a proposal.
