Nonprofit, City or township governments, County governments, Independent School Districts, Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)

Eligible entities must meet the federal definition of a “brownfield” and either own or provide written site access. Each site has a CalEnviroScreen (CES) Score of 75% or greater. If the CES Score is less than 75%, the CES Poverty percentile must be 50% or greater or the reuse is 100% affordable housing.  See the Grant Guidelines on the Grantor's Website (https://dtsc.ca.gov/ecrg-new-applicant-resources/) for additional eligibility criteria.
