The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) seeks an application for funding to support the fiscal year (FY) 2019 Title II Formula Grants Program. This program furthers the DOJs mission by providing funding to the states to develop programs to address juvenile delinquency and improve the juvenile justice system. OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety, protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to provide funding to support Puerto Ricos efforts to plan, operate, coordinate, and evaluate policies and projects, directly or through grants and contracts with public and private agencies, for the development of more effective education, training, research, prevention, diversion, treatment, and rehabilitation programs, as well as justice system improvement efforts. This program furthers the DOJs mission to uphold the rule of law, to keep our country safe, and to protect civil rights.
