The Southland Park Community Foundation (formerly the Southland Greyhound Park Community Foundation) makes program development grants primarily to nonprofit organizations in the following interest areas: Animal welfare, specifically domestic animals Diseases and disorders Elementary, secondary, and higher education Family and human services Health Public safety Youth development Interested applicants should submit a letter of inquiry with the amount of the request and the purpose for which the funds will be used. There are no firm s, but it is preferred that the grant request be received one to two months prior to any pertinent event. The foundation generally focuses funding in the tri-state area of Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi, but does not impose any geographic restrictions.
