The Youngstown Foundation is accepting applications to their Crisis Assistance Grant Program.The current economic downturn has created an immediate crisis for many households seeking to meet food, housing and other basic needs. Consequently, nonprofit agencies are seeing significant increases in the demand for basic needs and substantial decreases in donations. In response, The Youngstown Foundation has implemented a Crisis Assistance Program.The Crisis Assistance Program provides a resource for The Youngstown Foundation to respond quickly to emergency funding needs of qualified 501(c)(3) agencies in Youngstown and vicinity to ensure continuity of essential, direct services to clients.One request per agency per year will be considered.To qualify, records of the agency’s 501(c)(3), most recent audit, current board roster, executive staff roster, mission statement and history must be on file at The Youngstown Foundation or provided at time of request.Completed applications will be processed within 48 hours of receipt. Approved requests will receive funding within 4 business days.Grants awarded from the Crisis Assistance Fund do not impact an agency's eligibility to make general application for funding from The Youngstown Foundation. 11/9
