Eastside Arts Initiative Grant
This grant provides funding to individual artists and nonprofit arts organizations in Eastern Los Angeles County to support innovative arts projects that meet community cultural needs.
The Eastside Arts Initiative (EAI) is accepting grant applications for Fall 2024 to support arts programming in Eastern Los Angeles County. The application deadline is November 22, 2024, at 11:59 PM, and grant awards will be announced by January 30, 2025. EAI provides funding to individual artists (with a fiscal agent) and 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organizations, aiming to promote innovative projects that address community arts and cultural needs. Grant amounts vary: individual artists can apply for $2,500 to $10,000, while arts organizations may request between $10,000 and $25,000. Projects are evaluated based on their significance, innovation, implementation plans, budget feasibility, and ability to advance the arts in the region. Eligible applicants must be based in or serve Eastern LA County communities, including but not limited to East LA, the San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys, and Southeast LA/Gateway communities. An informational meeting will be held online, with sessions on October 29, 2024, at 7 PM and November 1, 2024, at 12:30 PM. Attendance is encouraged to learn about funding priorities and application guidelines. Applicants must submit a video (up to two minutes) showcasing their work or project proposal and may also include images for visual arts programs. Individual artists must partner with a fiscal agent who has been a 501(c)(3) nonprofit for at least five years. The fiscal agent will be responsible for managing the grant funds and maintaining financial records. Public art projects must include a letter from the property owner and necessary permits. For further information or technical support, applicants can contact EAI at arts@eastsideartsinitiative.org.
