2025 Impact Fairfield County Grant

The 2025 Impact Fairfield County Grant offers funding to nonprofit organizations seeking to implement new programs, enhance or expand existing initiatives, or improve their organizational capacity. Grants are provided in the amount of $100,000, distributed over a 24-month period. Up to 20% of the grant can be allocated to general operating expenses if needed. This funding opportunity is designed to support projects that significantly impact the organization’s ability to fulfill its mission, benefiting under-resourced communities within Fairfield County, Connecticut. To be eligible for the grant, organizations must meet several criteria. Applicants must be classified as a “public charity” with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, operate within Fairfield County, and specifically target under-resourced populations in the area. Additionally, the organization must have at least three years of independently audited financial statements and cannot have received a $100,000 Impact Fairfield County grant within the past three years. The grant funds must be used entirely within Fairfield County for the benefit of its residents. Eligible grant proposals must meet specific requirements, including having a total budget of at least $100,000 and using the full grant amount within the 24-month timeframe. The proposed project should demonstrate a high impact on the organization, its beneficiaries, or the broader community, and align closely with the organization’s core mission. Preference will be given to projects that clearly articulate why this is an opportune time for the investment and how it will drive meaningful outcomes. Certain types of projects and expenses are excluded from funding. These include debt reduction, bridge funding, endowments, individual scholarships, religious or political activities, and medical research. The grant also does not support pass-through funding, pet or animal welfare initiatives, or capital expenses that are not central to the success of the proposed project. Organizations should ensure that their proposals align with these restrictions before applying. The application process begins with a Letter of Inquiry, which must be submitted by November 12, 2024.
