Boeing Interfaith Fund Grant

The Boeing Interfaith Fund, established in 2024 by Boeing South Carolina, is administered by the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina. This fund reflects Boeing's commitment to strengthening communities in Charleston, Dorchester, and Berkeley Counties through support for faith-based outreach ministries. Boeing acknowledges the vital role that these organizations play in offering essential services to underserved communities, particularly in areas related to education, economic mobility, and health and wellness. The primary goal of the fund is to empower faith-based organizations that deliver high-impact programs which enhance the well-being of local residents. Eligible programs include, but are not limited to, afterschool educational initiatives, financial literacy and education programs, access to healthcare services, and assistance with grocery needs. The fund seeks to foster community improvement by backing initiatives that drive positive change through spiritual and service-oriented outreach. Faith-based organizations with or without 501(c)(3) status may apply for funding. However, those without federal nonprofit designation must be registered as a charity within the State of South Carolina to qualify. The average award amount provided through this fund is approximately $5,000, reflecting its community-focused, project-supporting nature. Applications for the Boeing Interfaith Fund are accepted through the Coastal Community Foundation's online portal beginning April 1 each year. The submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. on June 1, or the next business day if that date falls on a weekend. All applications are evaluated by an advisory committee consisting of volunteers, members from the interfaith community, and Boeing representatives. Funding decisions are made in December of the application year.
