The Kendrick Foundation Grant

The Kendrick Foundation was founded in 1977 by E. Gretchen Kendrick of Brookline, Massachusetts, to promote the dissemination of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Managed by Bank of America's Philanthropic Solutions division, the Foundation primarily supports charitable organizations that spread the Gospel throughout the United States. Funding is focused on organizations utilizing radio or television broadcasts or equivalent electronic media technologies deemed feasible by the Foundation’s trustees. The Foundation prioritizes funding requests from financially sound organizations that demonstrate the capability to reach large audiences, especially through radio, television, or electronic means. Preference is also given to organizations reaching audiences who have not previously had access to such programming. A significant portion of each year's grants is allocated toward the purchase of broadcast and recording equipment. The trustees favor proposals that request either full funding for equipment or partial funding where the applicant has already secured the balance. Additionally, development and production costs associated with specific broadcast programs are considered for funding. The typical grant award ranges between $2,500 and $10,000. The trustees aim to achieve a geographic balance across the continental United States in their funding distribution.
