City of Ames Downtown Façade Grant

The City of Ames is currently accepting applications for the Downtown Façade Grant, offering up to $23,000 in matching funds for façade improvements to businesses and building owners within the designated Downtown Façade Grant Area. Improvements to historically significant façade features may also qualify for this funding. Additionally, property tax abatements may be available for those in the Downtown Urban Revitalization Area who enhance their façades. Applicants must follow the Downtown Design Guidelines, which can be found on the City of Ames website. A pre-application meeting is encouraged before submitting an application, which must be completed by Friday, November 1.
