Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund 2025 Call for Proposals

The U.S. Embassy Bridgetown's Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) is inviting proposals for the 2025 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2025). This funding opportunity is open exclusively to alumni of U.S. government-funded or sponsored exchange programs, and applications must be submitted by teams of at least two alumni. The AEIF program supports innovative, alumni-led projects that expand on skills gained during exchange experiences and address pressing global challenges. For 2025, AEIF will prioritize projects in the Eastern Caribbean region, including Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Projects must align with one or both of the following themes: Climate Change Resilience and the Environment, or Economic Prosperity. Successful proposals will aim to reduce climate change risks, strengthen resilience, enhance well-being, and promote entrepreneurship and regional economic cooperation. The total funding available for this call is $35,000, with individual awards ranging from $5,000 to $35,000. Two projects are expected to receive funding. Cost-sharing or matching contributions are not required. Eligible projects should have clear goals, measurable outcomes, and demonstrate the potential to create significant, sustainable community impact. Applications must include a project proposal detailing the objectives, activities, and outcomes, as well as information on the alumni team members and their previous exchange program participation. The proposal should highlight how the project leverages skills gained from the U.S. exchange experience and connects to U.S. foreign policy goals. Proposals must be submitted by February 14, 2025. Projects will be evaluated based on alignment with program goals, feasibility, potential impact, and sustainability. The U.S. Embassy encourages innovative, community-driven projects with clear metrics for success. Awardees will be required to submit regular performance and financial reports to ensure compliance with program guidelines.
