Grant Description

The 2024-25 Arroyo Grande Community Service Grant Program provides funding to eligible nonprofit organizations delivering services and programs that benefit residents and businesses in Arroyo Grande. This grant program supports initiatives in social services, education, culture, beautification, and recreation, with a total funding pool of $75,000 and minimum grants of $250. To qualify, organizations must have 501(c)(3) status, serve the Arroyo Grande community directly, and ensure services are inclusive and not used for religious activities. Projects must be conducted by the nonprofit itself and cannot involve sub-awarded funds. Applications must include a cover sheet, program and service details, a work plan with a budget, and proof of nonprofit status. Completed applications are due by 5:00 PM on December 19, 2024, either electronically to Andrew Perez, Planning Manager, at aperez@arroyogrande.org or by mail to the Community Development Department at 300 E. Branch Street, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420. Applications will be reviewed by the Community Service Grant Committee, a five-member group appointed by the City Council. Evaluation criteria include the organization’s ability to clearly articulate the benefits for Arroyo Grande residents, the number and demographics of residents served, the organization’s history of community service, and its financial need for grant support. The Committee will submit funding recommendations to the City Council, which has the final discretion in awarding funds. Grant recipients must execute an agreement with the City and expend awarded funds by June 30, 2025. For additional information or assistance, applicants can contact Andrew Perez at 805-473-5425 or via email. Application materials are available online and can be completed electronically or by hand.
