A Technical Readiness Planning Phase award also does not guarantee an Implementation Phase award. CAMP Implementation Phase grants provide funding to cover the costs of developing and operating community-focused e-mobility programs, including electric community carshare, electric community shuttle/vanpool, community e-bike share, and others. CAMP projects are required to include an e-mobility component; neither EV charging infrastructure-only projects nor installation or improvements to streets, bike lanes, sidewalks, or other hard infrastructure are eligible for CAMP funding.  Funding Information This program is funded through the CAE with $4,000,000 in available funding for this fiscal year. CAE/CEO anticipates making between one to four awards, depending on individual grant amounts, for this round. CAE/CEO will provide up to a maximum of $1,500,000 per project. A minimum 5% match of the project budget total is required by lead applicants and/or their project partners. For example, a project with a total budget of $100,000, including the CAMP grant amount, would require a match of at least $5,000 by the lead applicant and/or their project partners. Applicant match can be in the form of in-kind or cash, which can include funds from local, state or federal agencies, utilities, grants, gifts, donations, or other public or private entities. Eligible Costs  Eligible costs for CAMP Implementation Phase include the following: Capital costs. Examples of capital costs include, but are not limited to, the following: EVs for an EV carshare program (including EV registration fees) E-bikes, including eCargo and accessible bikes, for an e-bike library program E-bike equipment, including charging facilities, safety equipment, and e-bike accessories EV, electric shuttle, or electric van services Space and siting for EVs and e-bikes (e.g., purchasing or leasing space for EVs and e-bikes), including storage facilities (this cannot be the only component) Charging infrastructure and related equipment (this cannot be the only component) Operational costs. Examples of operational costs include, but are not limited to, the following: Maintenance and repair Insurance Education and training for operators and/or community members Data collection Community engagement (e.g., surveys, meetings, etc.) Equipment installation Administrative costs and staff time with a maximum of no more than 10% of the total award (note: new staff can be hired with CAMP funds if their work is focused only on a CAMP project) Hiring a third-party contractor to manage and develop the CAMP Implementation Phase project in close coordination with the lead applicant and project partners Hiring a third-party contractor to ensure ADA compliance. Eligibility Criteria  The following entities are eligible to apply for CAMP grant funding: Local, county, and Tribal governments Community-based organizations (CBOs) Nonprofit organizations Schools, school districts, and universities CAE and CEO allow and encourage partnerships with other entities.
