Grant Description

The Meramec Regional Community Foundation (MRCF) offers grants to improve the quality of life in Crawford, Dent, Gasconade, Maries, Phelps, Pulaski, Osage, and Washington counties in Missouri. Governed by a Board of Directors familiar with the region, MRCF administers a flexible grantmaking program that addresses pressing community needs, made possible by unrestricted or field-of-interest funds donated by charitable supporters. For the 2025 grant cycle, MRCF will distribute $1,500, awarding two grants of $750 each. One grant will support community and economic development efforts that celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66 within the Meramec region. The second grant will focus on initiatives for at-risk children and/or low-income families in the region. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations, government entities, school districts, and churches serving the listed counties. Agencies may apply for up to $750. Applications must be submitted online by 11:45 PM on January 24, 2025. Grantees will be notified of funding decisions by March 2025. The application process includes a character count for all responses, which factors in letters, numbers, spaces, and punctuation. The foundation maintains a non-discrimination policy, both in awarding grants and in how grantees use funds, ensuring inclusivity regarding race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status. For questions about the grant program, contact Bonnie Prigge at 573-265-2993 ext. 103. For assistance with the application process or technical issues, contact Latesa Carter at 417-864-6199.
