Arts, Humanities & Historic Preservation Grants

The Arts, Humanities, and Historic Preservation (AHHP) Grants offered by Sauk County provide funding to community organizations and local governments for projects that promote local arts, humanities, and historic preservation. Eligible arts projects include public exhibitions, performances, publications, lectures, and multimedia documentaries covering disciplines such as dance, theater, music, architecture, folk arts, literary arts, and visual arts. Humanities and historic preservation projects focus on the study and documentation of human thought and culture, including history, languages, literature, and philosophy. Historic projects may involve research, documentation, and preservation of Sauk County’s cultural history. Applicants must ensure that grant-supported activities result in tangible services presented to the community within 12 months of receiving the grant. Public access to the project, program, or service is a fundamental requirement. These grants do not support "brick-and-mortar" projects, emphasizing non-structural community enrichment activities. The application period for large AHHP grants begins December 1, 2024, with a submission deadline of January 10, 2025, at 4:00 PM. Applications can be submitted via a Google form or a PDF form, with materials either hand-delivered or postmarked by the deadline.
