Grant Description

The Cabool Community Foundation Grant Program is designed to improve the quality of life for residents of Cabool through flexible community grantmaking and leadership. The program is administered by the Cabool Community Foundation, which is governed by a Board of Directors selected for their knowledge of the Cabool community. All grant decisions are made by a designated grant committee that evaluates applications based on community needs and available funding. The purpose of this flexible grantmaking program is to address the most pressing needs in the Cabool community at any given time. This adaptability is made possible through the generosity of charitable donors who have established unrestricted or field-of-interest funds, along with dollars raised directly by the Cabool Community Foundation. Funds are allocated according to an announced timetable, and grants are recommended based on both the quality of applications and the availability of funds. For this grant round, the program places an emphasis on projects related to Health and Wellness. Eligible applicants include 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and other IRS-approved entities such as government entities, school districts, and churches. Applicants must serve the Cabool area to qualify for funding. The maximum request amount is $6,000. Applications must be submitted through the Foundation’s grant application system by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on March 21, 2025. All application responses will be subject to the system’s character count, which includes all letters, numbers, spaces, and punctuation. As an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks (CFO), the Cabool Community Foundation follows a strict nondiscrimination policy. Grants will not be awarded based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status. Grantees must also ensure their programs, employment practices, and policies for service access are nondiscriminatory when using CFO grant funds. For program-related questions, applicants may contact Karl Janson. For questions about the application process or technical assistance, applicants can contact Latesa Carter at (417) 864-6199.
