Grant Description

Impact100 SRQ is a nonprofit organization based in Sarasota, Florida, dedicated to supporting transformational initiatives within the local community. It provides significant grant funding to nonprofits primarily serving Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Organizations applying must demonstrate strong financial stewardship, organizational stability, and the capacity to achieve high-impact results within a specified timeframe. The purpose of the 2025 Impact100 SRQ grant is to fund clearly defined, viable, and sustainable initiatives that will create measurable community impact. Grants must be used within a 24-month period following the signing of the Grant Agreement, with initiatives primarily benefiting Sarasota and/or Manatee County residents. The initiatives can fall within one of the following focus areas: Arts, Culture & History; Education; Environment, Recreation & Animal Welfare; Family; and Health & Wellness. Importantly, the funding cannot be used for debt reduction, operational deficits, political activities, general operations, or faith-based initiatives that require religious participation. To be eligible, organizations must be tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, registered as a nonprofit with the Florida Department of State, registered or exempt with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and in operation for at least 24 months. Applicants must submit two years of financial statements, IRS Form 990s if applicable, and interim financials. Specific eligibility guidelines apply to collaborations, and expansions of existing programs must show clear differentiation from current services. The application process for the 2025 grant cycle includes several steps. Applicants must submit an "Eligible to Apply" form online by May 30, 2025. Upon confirmation of eligibility, full applications are due by June 30, 2025, at noon Eastern Time. Initiatives that pass the preliminary review will require a Site Visit. Finalists will be selected to attend the Meet the Finalists event in December 2025 and submit a Wish List. Grant recipients will be chosen by member vote at the Annual Celebration in January 2026. Applicants are required to submit an Initiative Budget using a specific form, including detailed direct expenses only. Initiatives with capital improvements must demonstrate property ownership or a lease agreement. If applicable, quotes from third-party vendors and letters of support from collaborating organizations are necessary. The grant application also prohibits transferring grant funds to third parties for expenses, among other restrictions. For further information, applicants can contact grants@impact100srq.org. Workshops to support applicants are scheduled for April and May 2025 at various locations and online. Key dates include the availability of the Eligible to Apply Form on April 17, 2025, and application closure on June 30, 2025, with finalist and award events scheduled later in the year.
