Grant Description

The Black Boardroom Leadership Institute (BBLI), managed by the Orlando Economic Partnership, aims to increase diversity and inclusion within nonprofit board leadership in Central Florida. The program includes two six-month tracks: one for nonprofit organizations to create inclusive environments for diverse leadership and another for Black leaders to gain the training and tools needed to serve effectively on nonprofit boards. BBLI is supported by contributions from organizations like Wells Fargo Foundation, Central Florida Foundation, and Helios Education Foundation. The program is accepting applications for its 2025 Nonprofit Track. Eligible nonprofit organizations will receive guidance in creating inclusive cultures, developing board recruitment strategies, and building a pipeline of Black leaders. The Leadership Track provides training for individual Black professionals to enhance their skills for board service. The initiative promotes equitable leadership and ensures board representation reflects the diversity of the Central Florida community.
