2025 Artadia Awards for Visual Artists in New York

The Educational Success Community Grant is designed to support programs that enhance academic achievement and educational attainment for underperforming children and youth in the region. The grant aims to foster a thriving and resilient community by improving educational outcomes, preparing students for future workforce demands, and supporting their successful transition from early childhood education through high school graduation and beyond. This funding opportunity is rooted in the belief that education is a critical component of economic development and personal prosperity. Many children, particularly those living in poverty, face multiple barriers that inhibit their educational success. The grant supports innovative programs that address these challenges and provide opportunities for students to excel academically. Grants will be awarded to programs that demonstrate effectiveness in one or more of the following areas: preparing children for kindergarten through academic and socio-emotional development, preventing middle and high school students from dropping out, supporting after-school programs that improve high school graduation rates, and assisting students in transitioning successfully to college or career-based certification programs. Programs must show alignment with the funder’s priorities and be able to measure effectiveness in achieving the desired outcomes. Desired outcomes for funded programs include young children meeting developmental milestones, increased kindergarten readiness, higher academic performance in public schools, reduced dropout rates, increased high school graduation rates, and higher enrollment in post-secondary education or certification programs. Applicants must clearly articulate how their programs align with the grant’s priorities, specify expected outcomes, and demonstrate their ability to measure effectiveness. Limited requests for minor equipment may be included in funding proposals. However, capital project or capital campaign requests should be directed to the Vibrant Places (Nonprofit Facilities Improvement) grants. The application deadline is April 1, 2025.
