2025 Champions of Health Awards

This grant provides financial support to nonprofit organizations and individuals in Oklahoma who are making significant contributions to improving health in their communities, with a focus on children, seniors, community health, and the uninsured.

Grant Description

Since 2004, the Champions of Health Awards have celebrated organizations and individuals dedicated to improving the health of Oklahomans. Sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma and administered in partnership with the Oklahoma Caring Foundation, the awards highlight outstanding initiatives and programs across the state. In 2025, nonprofit winners in four main categories will each receive a $5,000 contribution to support their organization or program. In addition, all category winners will be considered for the highest honor: the Dr. Rodney L. Huey Memorial Champion of Oklahoma Health Award, which comes with a $20,000 contribution. The nomination window for the 2025 awards opens on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, and closes on Friday, May 2, 2025. Eligible nominees must demonstrate significant contributions to health improvements in Oklahoma communities, with special focus on innovation, impact, and measurable outcomes. Award Categories: Champion of Childrenโ€™s Health Champion of Senior Health Champion of Community Health Champion of the Uninsured Nominees can include organizations and individuals across Oklahoma.
