City of Wichita Artist Access Grants 2025
This program provides financial support to practicing, professional, and emerging artists in Wichita to help them pursue professional development and skill-building opportunities that enhance their careers.
The 2025 City of Wichita Artist Access Grants program is now open for applications, offering support to practicing, professional, and emerging artists in the Wichita community. Administered by the City’s Division of Arts and Cultural Services, the program aims to help artists pursue professional development or skill-building opportunities that advance their work and careers. Grant awards range from $100 to $1,000, with funding decisions made by the 11-member volunteer Cultural Funding Committee. This initiative aligns with Goal 4 of the City’s 2024-2028 Cultural Arts Strategic Plan, which emphasizes fostering creativity and equitable access to cultural arts. In 2024, the program set a record by awarding $20,000 to 26 local artists, supporting a variety of activities such as workshops, education courses, conferences, artist residencies, and marketing efforts. The program continues its mission of ensuring equitable access to cultural opportunities and strengthening the creative capacity of the Wichita community. Applications are open until January 6, 2025, and can be submitted via wichita.submittable.com. Applicants can attend informational sessions on November 21 (virtual or in-person) to learn more about the program. City staff are available to assist with applications through January 3, 2025. Interested artists may contact Jesse Koza, Cultural Arts Administrator, at 316.350.3241 or jkoza@wichita.gov for additional information.
