Native American Library Services Enhancement Grants (2025)
This funding opportunity is designed to help Native American Tribes enhance their library services and resources to better serve their communities' educational and cultural needs.
The Native American Library Services Enhancement Grants program (NAE) is designed to help eligible Native Communities sustain and improve library services within their communities. As information needs evolve, Tribal libraries must adapt to serve as knowledge and resource centers that benefit their users and promote community wellness. This grant supports a variety of activities, including educational programming, oral history documentation, digital media enhancements, professional training, language and cultural material development, and digitization efforts. The program's ultimate goal is to strengthen library and archival services for Native American Tribes. Projects funded under this opportunity must align with one or more of the following objectives: serving the learning needs and interests of the community, improving community well-being, providing access to and preserving information and collections, and offering services in the event of an emergency or disaster. The grant period is up to two years, and projects must begin on September 1, 2025.
