2025 Leo Livingston Grant

The Leo L. Livingston Fund was established in memory of Leo L. Livingston by Doris Livingston and is administered by the Community Foundation of the Brazos Valley, based in Bryan, Texas. This charitable endowment fund is intended to benefit nonprofit organizations in Taylor, Texas, supporting initiatives that improve the quality of life in the community. The Fund is managed by a Grants Review Committee composed of local Taylor residents and business leaders. The Committee accepts applications for grants up to $10,000, with the goal of funding nonprofit programs that align with the objectives of Leo L. Livingston's legacy. Nonprofit organizations seeking funding through the Livingston Fund must be recognized as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code. The grant program considers a wide range of proposals, including support for effective, established programs, the launch of innovative new initiatives, or funding for unique capital needs that will enhance an organization's capacity. However, grants will not be awarded to cover fundraising events, public relations events, or similar promotional activities. In certain cases, the Livingston Fund may provide funding for salary support. The grant application process requires a complete submission, with the application due by Friday, March 7. Applications must be submitted via email or be postmarked by this deadline. Late applications or those missing required information will not be considered. The application review process will conclude with recipients being notified by Wednesday, April 9.
