2025 Agricultural Marketing Grant

The FY 2025 Agricultural Marketing Grant Program, offered by Garrett County, Maryland, provides financial assistance to promote agriculture-based businesses within the county. Eligible applicants include farms, farm businesses, farm-related enterprises, and agricultural organizations based in Garrett County. This program is designed to support marketing efforts for these entities, helping them increase visibility and economic activity related to agriculture within the region. Grants are available up to $1,000 per applicant and cover up to 90% of the total approved project costs, with applicants required to contribute at least 10% of project expenses. Applicants may only receive one grant per fiscal year, and funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated funds are exhausted. Grant awards are considered taxable income, and recipients will be issued a 1099 form at the end of the calendar year. To apply, eligible businesses must submit a completed application, IRS W-9 form, and Vendor Information Request form, ensuring a consistent mailing address across all documents. As with other grant programs, no reimbursement will be provided for expenses incurred before the grant award date or for unapproved purchases. Once approved, recipients have 120 days to submit all required documentation for reimbursement, including receipts, photos or screenshots of purchased items, and proof of payment (such as canceled checks or credit card receipts). Missing the 120-day deadline will result in forfeiture of funds.
