Curatorial Fellowship 2025

The Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) is offering a Curatorial Fellowship for 2025, providing an opportunity for a Bronx-based emerging curator to gain practical experience in the visual arts. This six-month, paid fellowship will involve assisting with the implementation of three exhibitions at the Longwood Art Gallery, all centered around the theme "The World We Want to Live In." The exhibitions will explore the intersection of art and activism, examining how visual art can contribute to social and political movements by raising awareness, sparking public discourse, and engaging new audiences in activism. The fellowship is a competitive program aimed at emerging professionals in the arts who are seeking hands-on experience and mentorship in curating exhibitions. It offers a stipend of $3,500 for the duration of the fellowship, which runs from January 2025 to June 2025. The fellow will work two days a week, for five hours each day, collaborating closely with BCA staff and other artists to help execute the gallery's 2025 exhibition series.
