San Manuel Cares Grant 2025
This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and tribal governments providing services in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, as well as tribal entities nationwide, focusing on impactful community programs.
The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is accepting applications for the 2025 San Manuel Cares Grant Cycle. This funding opportunity supports nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and tribal governments that provide services within San Bernardino and Riverside counties, as well as tribal nonprofit organizations and tribal government entities throughout the United States. The grant focuses on funding programs and projects that align with the San Manuel Bandโs established Giving Pillars, which represent the priority areas for their philanthropic efforts. The 2025 San Manuel Cares Grant Cycle is open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that have held their tax-exempt status for at least three consecutive years. Eligible applicants also include K-12 schools, school districts, colleges, universities, and tribal government entities. However, Nevada-based organizations are not eligible to apply through this program and must instead submit applications through Palms Cares. Organizations may only apply once per 12-month period, and applicants currently in a grant term or with outstanding reports from prior grants are ineligible. Applications for the 2025 cycle must be submitted by March 15, 2025, at 5:00 PM Pacific Time. The grant application process is entirely digital, and submissions must be made through the designated grant portal. Incomplete applications or those missing required documents will be automatically declined. Applicants are advised to review their submissions carefully to ensure all required documents, such as the IRS Tax Ruling Letter, Form 990, current W-9, financial audit or financial justification letter, organizational budget, board of directors list, secured program funding confirmation, project budget (using the San Manuel Template), and any necessary letters of support, are properly included. The San Manuel Cares program does not fund certain types of requests, including individual scholarships or assistance, national organizations that do not provide services within the specified geographic area, political campaigns, fundraising events, third-party funding, or projects that require San Manuel to fund the entire cost. The organization must demonstrate a strong financial position and a proven track record of positive impact to be considered for funding. All communication related to the grant application will come directly from charitablegiving@sanmanuel-nsn.gov or an assigned Program Officer. Applicants must respond promptly to all communications to avoid disqualification. The Strategic Philanthropy Department may update application deadlines or requirements, and any changes will be communicated directly to applicants. For additional support, organizations are encouraged to review the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) provided by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and to ensure compliance with all guidelines and requirements before submitting their application.
