Grant Description

The Bohemian Foundation, a private philanthropic organization based in Fort Collins, Colorado, offers the Community Event Fund to support community and fundraising events. This fund is available to nonprofit organizations that serve within the Poudre School District boundary. Events supported by this fund are intended to foster meaningful interaction between the public and the nonprofit sector, helping to advance the Foundation's Community Programs goals. To qualify, applicants must be a 501(c)(3) public charity under sections 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2). Organizations must demonstrate that their event aligns with one or more of the following objectives: ensuring all youth thrive, promoting economic stability and mobility, or cultivating a vibrant, engaged, and connected community. Although the organization need not be based in the region, its services must directly impact individuals within the school district boundary. The fund provides up to $2,500 per organization annually and is distributed on a rolling basis. Applications must be submitted at least 60 days before the event date. Ineligible applications include those from individuals, private foundations, 509(a)(3) supporting organizations, as well as for events like tournaments, school trips, run/walk/golf events, and music-related programming. Applicants must submit their requests via the Bohemian Foundation’s grantee portal. Awardees are encouraged to publicize their events and the Foundation's sponsorship. Promotional guidelines and logos are available through the Foundation's website to assist in these efforts. The fund is active and accepting applications through 2025. It will be discontinued after that year. There is no specified award date or application opening date, but applicants must ensure timely submission to allow for the Foundation’s 30-day review process following receipt of a completed application. For questions, the Foundation can be reached at 970-221-2636 during business hours from Monday to Friday.
