Innovation Ecosystem Program 2025

The Innovation Ecosystem Program offers annual grants from $120,000 to $175,000 to support Massachusetts-based ecosystem support organizations (ESOs), such as incubators and accelerators, focused on growing the climatetech startup ecosystem. These funds, managed by MassCEC, aim to help ESOs expand services for early-stage climatetech startups, drive commercialization, and foster innovation. Funding can cover expenses related to operations, facility build-outs, equipment, networking events, and professional development for incubator staff. Grant awards are linked to specific ESO deliverables, including startup scholarships and support. Eligible applicants must be ESOs that serve or partially focus on climatetech startups within Massachusetts. Though ESOs are not required to exclusively support climatetech startups, a clean energy or climate emphasis is essential.
