The MainStreet Foundation awards grants up to $5,000 four times a year to nonprofits working to help kids thrive in their communities. These grants are aimed at projects that have a positive impact on at-risk youth, focusing on providing life essentials such as after-school programs, mentoring, leadership development, promoting literacy, coping with homelessness, mental health support, and life-management skills. Additional Requirements

- Organizations with operating budgets in excess of $2 million need to clearly differentiate the proposed project from the total operating budget. - The foundation gives priority to direct service projects for at-risk youth and generally does not support endowments, general operating expenses, or capital campaigns. Grant recipients are asked not to apply for additional funding for at least 12 months or one calendar year from the conclusion of any previously funded projects.
