2024-2025 Norman Arts Council Artist Grants

The Norman Arts Council (NAC) is currently accepting applications for the first round of its FY 2024/25 Artist Grants. These grants are intended to support Norman-based artists by funding community projects, creative work, and educational opportunities that contribute to the local creative community. Key Information: Grant Amount: $1,500 per grant. Categories: Community Project: Supports community-based artistic projects. Evaluation focuses on project quality, community impact, and concept. Creative Project: Funds the creation of new artwork or a body of work. Evaluation is based on the opportunity's quality, career-building potential, and concept. Education/Travel: Supports educational opportunities such as conferences, residencies, or workshops that enhance artistic practice. Evaluation considers the quality of the educational opportunity, career-building potential, and concept. Eligibility: Applicants must have lived in Norman, OK for the past 12 months. Artists must be at least 18 years old. Artists may apply for all three categories, but only one grant will be awarded per artist per cycle. Timeline: Application Deadline: October 30, 2024. Award Notification: Mid-November 2024. The next application cycle will open from April 16 to May 28, 2025, with awards announced in mid-June.
