Grant Description

The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida is offering the Program Support Grants for Putnam County to enhance the quality of life for residents by supporting educational opportunities, expanding safety net programs, and promoting general well-being. These grants provide financial assistance to nonprofit organizations that are actively serving Putnam County. Funding is allocated based on specific focus areas, with grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 depending on the nature of the request. Organizations can apply for funding of up to $25,000 to support and expand safety net programs serving Putnam County residents or to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, including Veterans and First Responders with service-related disabilities. Alternatively, grants of up to $10,000 are available to expand access to high-quality out-of-school time programs for children and youth that focus on academic progress, physical well-being, emotional health, and positive youth development. The majority of grants will be awarded in the $5,000-$10,000 range, with larger amounts reserved for more significant projects. Funding is not intended to cover ongoing operational expenses, and priority will be given to organizations that do not have an active grant with the foundation. Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations with active 501(c)(3) status and at least a two-year history of service in Putnam County. Only one project per organization may be submitted for consideration. The grant will not fund fundraising event sponsorships, school fundraising organizations (such as PTAs and booster clubs), programs that promote religious beliefs (although faith-based organizations offering non-religious programs to the broader community may be eligible), or projects outside of Putnam County. The grant application process opens on January 2, 2025, and applications are due by 11:59 PM on March 6, 2025. From January 6, 2025, to March 1, 2025, assistance is available from grantmaking staff for applicants needing in-person, virtual, or phone support. Grant recipients will be notified on June 1, 2025, and funded projects must be completed between June 1, 2025, and May 31, 2027. Interested applicants can contact Reagan Bass, MPA, Program Officer, at rbass@jaxcf.org or call 904-356-4483 for more information. The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida is located at 245 Riverside Avenue, Suite 310, Jacksonville, FL 32202.
