WACF Community Impact Grant

The Willmar Area Community Foundation (WACF) Community Impact Grant program supports initiatives in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, through grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 for smaller projects or up to $50,000 for "Difference Maker" grants that create broad, lasting community impact. Applications for the 2025 cycle are open from November 15, 2024, to January 15, 2025, with funding decisions within 100 days. Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, schools, and government entities proposing projects in areas such as fostering community connections and inclusivity, supporting productive aging through intergenerational activities, innovative solutions addressing regional needs, and capital improvements for significant materials or facilities. Priority is given to initiatives that improve quality of life, address community challenges, encourage collaboration, and promote diversity and sustainability, while certain activities, such as completed projects, religious or political efforts, and fundraising, are ineligible. The program seeks to enhance community life by advancing initiatives that align with WACF’s mission of fostering connections, inclusivity, and long-term positive change.
