Greene County Community Foundation Grant

The Greene County Community Foundation (GCCF) Grant Program supports projects that improve the overall well-being of Greene County residents by funding initiatives that enhance community services, economic development, public safety, and recreational activities. The foundation prioritizes projects that strengthen families, promote youth and senior activities, improve health and education, and support local economic and tourism development. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, government entities (municipalities, school districts, and counties), and groups sponsored by a government entity or nonprofit fiscal sponsor. The maximum grant request is $35,000, and projects exceeding this amount must be submitted to Grow Greene County. All grant-funded projects must be completed within Greene County, Iowa. Applications for the 2025 funding cycle are due by February 14, 2025, at 4:00 PM CST. Applicants may submit a digital copy via email, mail a hard copy to the GCCF PO Box 85, Jefferson, IA 50129, or hand-deliver to the Journey Financial, LLC Office at Home State Bank (115 West State Street, Jefferson, IA). If hand-delivering on the deadline date, applications must be received by 4:00 PM CST. Applicants are required to provide letters of community support, project budgets, written estimates, and a minimum 25% match (cash or in-kind contribution). Grant awards are announced in April 2025, and recipients must complete a Project Completion Form by January 31 of the following year to maintain future funding eligibility.
