General Operating Support (GOS) Funding Opportunity FY26

The General Operating Support (GOS) Funding Opportunity FY26 is a grant program designed to provide unrestricted financial support for nonprofit organizations and nonprofit-sponsored entities whose primary mission is to serve the arts, promote cultural equity, support preservation or awareness initiatives, or present science programming to the public. The program aims to bolster organizations that contribute to the cultural and scientific enrichment of the community. This funding opportunity is administered by Creative Flagstaff, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the arts and sciences in Flagstaff, Arizona. The application process for this grant opens on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, and will close on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:30 PM. Successful applicants will receive funding for the period spanning July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Eligibility for the GOS grant is categorized into four levels, based on an organization's size and operational history. Levels 1 & 2 are designated for small-size organizations with annual expenses of at least $5,000 and at least one year of operation. Levels 3 & 4 are reserved for mid-to-large-sized organizations with annual expenses of at least $100,000, a minimum of three years in operation, and at least one paid executive, managing, or programming director. Organizations that have annual expenses exceeding $100,000 but otherwise meet the eligibility criteria for Levels 1 or 2 should apply under the Level 1 & 2 application. Applicants at all levels must submit a complete application online through the application portal provided by Creative Flagstaff. While submission of the GOS Expenses & Revenue Form is optional for Level 1 and Level 2 applicants, it is required for Levels 3 and 4. Additionally, organizations applying at Levels 3 and 4 must include their SMU Data Arts Profile as part of their application. All awarded applicants will also be required to maintain an SMU Data Arts Profile.
