2025 Southern Finger Lakes Artist Fellowship

Grant Description

The 2025 Southern Finger Lakes (SFLX) Artist Fellowship offers an unrestricted cash award to artists residing in the ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes’ service region, which includes Cattaraugus, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, and Tioga counties. This fellowship, supported by the Council’s Endowment, allows recipients to focus entirely on their artistic practice without the constraints of project requirements, empowering them to take creative risks and further develop their unique voice. Eligibility extends to artists of any discipline who have lived in the Council’s service region or are ARTS Council Artist Members for at least two years. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not currently enrolled in a full-time degree program. Up to four fellowships will be awarded for the 2025 calendar year. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024, and must be submitted online. Applicants should prepare short answers, narratives, and support materials. Eligibility Artists of any discipline and residing in The ARTS Council’s service region of Cattaraugus, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, or Tioga County for a minimum of two years are eligible to apply. ARTS Council Artist Members residing outside these counties for a minimum of two years are also eligible to apply. Artists must also be 18 years or older and cannot be enrolled in a full time, degree-seeking program. Artists applying to NYSCA or ARTS Council administered grant programs are still eligible to apply. Up to four artists will be awarded fellowships for the 2025 calendar year.
