GFiber Digital Inclusion Fund 2025

The GFiber Digital Inclusion Fund 2025 is a grantmaking initiative focused on fostering digital inclusion in Huntsville, Alabama. Administered under the authority of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville, the Fund is specifically designed to support projects that enhance digital access and literacy within the local community. The initiative targets initiatives that address the digital divide, aiming to empower individuals and organizations through increased connectivity and digital competency. This Fund offers grant awards ranging from $5,000 to $15,000. The projects eligible for support include those that provide digital devices to clients, scale up existing digital initiatives, teach basic computer literacy skills, or improve digital navigation services. Emphasis is placed on practical implementations that directly benefit the community by increasing digital inclusion and accessibility. Eligible applicants must be located in Huntsville, Alabama, and qualify as 501(c)(3) public charities, or be schools, religious institutions, or government agencies as recognized by the IRS. The Fund supports program costs for both new and existing projects, including reasonable expenses related to staff or volunteer involvement and training. However, specific activities and expenditures are excluded from funding. These include projects located outside Huntsville, grants to individuals, debt reduction, endowment and annual campaigns, fundraising events, membership drives, conference expenses, political lobbying or campaigning activities, and internet subscriptions. The application process is managed through an online portal, with submissions due by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Award decisions are made by the Digital Inclusion Fund Grants Committee. All grantees will be required to sign a formal Grant Agreement and report on the use of funds and outcomes achieved.
