Grant Description

The 2025 Halstead Community Foundation (HCF) Grant Cycle opens on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, offering support to charitable projects and programs that benefit the residents of Halstead, Kansas. This opportunity is facilitated through the HCF Impact Fund and the Kansas Health Foundation Fund – Halstead. While the Impact Fund broadly supports charitable community improvement efforts, the Kansas Health Foundation Fund focuses on initiatives that address local health issues by encouraging healthier lifestyles, behaviors, and environments. The Halstead Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Central Kansas Community Foundation (CKCF), is committed to investing in projects that make Halstead a better place to live. The Foundation encourages grant applications for small-scale, high-impact projects that strengthen the well-being of the Halstead community. Grants awarded through this cycle are limited to a maximum of $1,500 per project or program. The total number of grants and funding amounts will depend on the volume and type of requests received. Applicants must submit their online application by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025. Projects may not begin until after grants are awarded, estimated for May 2025, and must be completed by February 15, 2026, unless special considerations are requested and approved in advance. In addition, applicants who received HCF funding in the prior year must have submitted their final report to be eligible for consideration in 2025. Eligible applicants include organizations with 501(c)(3) status, those exempt by statute (e.g., schools, churches, local governments), or those formally linked to a qualifying fiscal sponsor. All applicants must demonstrate responsible management and ethical governance. Only projects directly benefiting the Halstead community will be considered. Submissions will be reviewed by the HCF Grant Selection Committee, which may request additional information for clarification. All applications are subject to the procedures and regulations of both the Halstead Community Foundation and Central Kansas Community Foundation. For assistance, applicants may contact Macey Mueller, Associate Director of Halstead Community Foundation, at (316) 251-2434 or macey@centralkansascf.org, and Melissa Schreiber, Program Officer – Grants at Central Kansas Community Foundation, at (316) 283-5474 or melissa@centralkansascf.org.
