Grant Description

The Dane G. Hansen Foundation of Logan, Kansas, has partnered with the Greater Salina Community Foundation (GSCF) and the Greater Northwest Kansas Community Foundation to enhance the quality of life in north-central and northwest Kansas. Through this partnership, each affiliate foundation under GSCF, including the Republic County Community Foundation, is allocated grant funding for charitable projects within their respective service areas. The grants are awarded through a competitive application process and support projects that align with the following priority areas: Education, Health Care, Community Social Services & Security, Conservation & Environment, Arts & Culture, and Community Beautification. Funded projects are expected to contribute to improving local life quality, fostering community involvement, and encouraging volunteerism. Grant funds are intended for new or innovative projects and may not be used to replace or reduce regular budgetary needs of tax-supported programs or cover operational or endowment expenses. Applicants must submit their proposals through the Foundation’s online grant application system. Preference will be given to proposals that demonstrate strong community involvement and the effective use of volunteers.
