Grant Description

The Paraprofessional to Teacher Reimbursement Grant is a state-funded initiative by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) aimed at supporting paraprofessionals in Georgia who seek to become certified teachers through the Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy (GaTAPP). Applications must be made on behalf of eligible candidates meeting the following requirements: Eligible candidates for reimbursement funds must be teachers who meet the following criteria: • Employed in a teaching position by a regionally accredited LEA or an approved charter school. • Hold a Georgia Provisional Certificate or Permit. • Enrolled in GaTAPP on or after January 1, 2023.
