2023 Strengthening Neighborhoods Program offers small grants for community groups in Colorado to support grassroots community development and organizing. Projects should leverage existing community strengths and assets, such as residents' skills or neighborhood institutions. Funding areas include arts, culture, humanities, civic fabric, economic opportunity, education, environment & climate, food & nutrition, health & mental health, housing & homelessness, human services, religious institutions, transportation, and youth development.

Additional Requirements

Your work must connect with the mission of The Denver Foundation. A community group does NOT need to be a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization to apply. Your community group must be led by at least three (3) unrelated people Your organizations must be located in and do work in Metro Denver. A final report from your last Strengthening Neighborhoods grant is due at the time you wish to re-apply for a new Strengthening Neighborhoods grant, or at the one-year anniversary of your grant approval – whichever comes first.
