Guidelines On multi-year requests, the trustees will consider only 1 year requests at a time. Applications will only be accepted from 501(c)(3) organizations in the Atchison, Kansas community area. The trust prefers to give grants for specific purposes (buildings, capital equipment and programs) to be completed in a fixed number of short years. Only a limited number of grants will be considered for operational expenses. All submitted applications will be reviewed by the Atchison Advisory Committee, with final applications being presented to the Turner Trustees in November.
