Town of Castle Rock Art and Culture Program

The Town of Castle Rock offers the Art and Culture Program Grants as part of its broader annual Art and Culture Grant Program, funded through the Public Art Fund. This initiative aims to promote vibrant art and culture programming that enriches the Castle Rock community and stimulates creativity. The grants are intended for nonprofits operating within the town and are structured to support projects that align with Castle Rock’s cultural goals. The purpose of the Art and Culture Program Grants is to support a diverse array of artistic and cultural activities that foster a thriving community. Eligible programming may include workshops and classes, community events, live performances, educational initiatives, public engagement opportunities, or other culturally enriching projects. These efforts may span historical, theatrical, literary, or musical disciplines, so long as they contribute to the cultural landscape of Castle Rock. Only nonprofit 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organizations providing art and culture programming within Castle Rock are eligible to apply. The grants provide up to $10,000 in funding, and up to five grants will be awarded in this category. Programs must be located within Castle Rock town limits and not in unincorporated areas outside the jurisdiction. To apply, organizations must complete an online application detailing the project's purpose, alignment with community cultural goals, and a proposed budget. Applicants must show their capability to implement the program and may be asked to provide letters of support or intent from collaborators to demonstrate access and support. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on July 18, 2025. Submissions will be reviewed in August 2025 by a panel consisting of Public Art Commission members, Town staff, and a Councilmember. Follow-up questions may be sent to applicants, with responses due by August 8, 2025. Grant awards will be finalized and approved by Town Council in September. Funds will be distributed in September and October, and funded programs must be completed by July 1, 2026, with final reports due by July 15, 2026.
