Refugee Agricultural Partnership Program
This funding opportunity provides financial support to eligible organizations for developing agricultural training and services that improve the livelihoods and well-being of refugee families in the U.S.
The Refugee Agricultural Partnership Program (RAPP), forecasted by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Administration for Children and Families (ACF), is a grant opportunity (HHS-2025-ACF-ORR-ZR-0103) designed to support agricultural and food system services that improve the economic, physical, and psychosocial well-being of refugee families in the United States. This program provides discretionary funding to eligible non-federal entities to develop agricultural training and other support systems to enhance refugee livelihoods and integrate them into local food economies. Eligible activities include agricultural production, produce marketing, and training in areas such as business management, nutrition, and health. The program expects to fund around 10 awards with a total funding pool of $2 million for fiscal year 2025. Award amounts range from $100,000 to $200,000, providing significant support for both small- and mid-scale projects. RAPP does not require cost-sharing, enabling applicants without matching funds to participate fully. Eligible applicants include state and local governments, public housing authorities, nonprofits, tribal governments and organizations, public and private higher education institutions, and independent school districts. Individual and foreign entity applications will not be considered. Key dates for the RAPP grant are projected as follows: the opportunity will be posted on February 28, 2025, applications are due by May 1, 2025 (11:59 pm EST), awards will be announced by August 29, 2025, and projects are expected to begin by September 30, 2025.
