Grant Description

The Willow Springs Affiliate Grantmaking Program FY25 is an initiative of the Willow Springs Community Foundation, designed to enhance the quality of life for residents of Willow Springs, Missouri. The Foundation, governed by a Board of Directors with local expertise, supports the community through strategic grantmaking and leadership. Grant decisions are made by a dedicated committee and are guided by a mission to respond flexibly to the most pressing community needs at any given time. The Foundation's unique capacity to offer a broad and adaptable grantmaking program is made possible by charitable contributions from donors who have established unrestricted or field-of-interest funds. These funds, along with community-raised dollars, empower the Board and grant committee to direct resources where they are most impactful. This funding opportunity provides grants of up to $5,000 for specific projects that benefit the Willow Springs community. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and other IRS-approved entities such as government entities, school districts, and churches that serve the Willow Springs area. The funded projects must align with the focus areas of education, health, beautification, environment, and economic development. Preference will be given to proposals that are self-sustaining or continuable, as well as those that foster collaboration among local organizations. Applications are accepted from May 14, 2025, through June 27, 2025, with a strict submission deadline of noon on the closing date. The application system uses a character count that includes letters, numbers, spaces, and punctuation, which applicants must consider when drafting their responses. For program-specific questions, applicants are encouraged to contact Dean Aye at the Willow Springs Community Foundation. For questions related to the application process or technical assistance, Latesa Carter of the Community Foundation of the Ozarks can be reached at 417-864-6199. The program upholds a strong commitment to non-discrimination. Both the awarding affiliates and grantees must ensure equal treatment and access regardless of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status. This principle applies both in employment practices and in providing services funded by the grant.
