Wisconsin Innovation Awards 2025

The Wisconsin Innovation Awards (WIA) aim to recognize and promote groundbreaking innovations across a wide array of sectors in Wisconsin. This program emphasizes that innovation extends beyond traditional internet startups or biotech companies, encompassing manufacturing, sustainable agriculture, education, healthcare, nonprofits, and more. WIA was initiated by Matt Younkle and Joe Boucher, with backing from major supporters such as American Family Insurance, Baird, Exact Sciences, First Business, Neider & Boucher, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). The WIA serves as a platform to honor and elevate transformative products, services, or ideas originating from any Wisconsin industry. Its mission is to build a dynamic ecosystem of innovation by connecting leaders from various disciplines and geographies within the state. Innovators can either apply directly or be nominated by others who recognize the value of their work. Applications and nominations for the 2025 Wisconsin Innovation Awards are currently open and will be accepted until June 30, 2025. The submission process involves answering a few straightforward questions about the innovation in question. This opportunity is open to innovations across all industries and organizational types based in Wisconsin. The awards ceremony will take place on November 4, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison. The evening will include a networking reception beginning at 5:00 PM followed by the awards presentation at 6:30 PM. Each registration includes a complimentary drink ticket, encouraging participation and celebration among attendees. The program's organizers include a board of directors composed of professionals from various sectors including academia, banking, economic development, and corporate innovation.
