Notifications of awards are issued in October or November, with funds disbursed in December. Required submission materials include a grant application (available online during the open period), a project budget worksheet (specific form required), a grant evaluation form for reapplying grantees, and 501(c)(3) documentation. Evaluation criteria include potential impact on women and girls, alignment with fund priorities, quality and need of the project, involvement of diverse communities, innovation, sustainability, and measurable outcomes. The fund does not support pass-through grants, endowments, debt reduction, political activities, religious programming, capital improvements, individual scholarships, fundraisers, personal use, or ongoing staff salaries.
